Dressage Shows

We host Dressage shows throughout the year including a Combined Training show in the Summer and a Christmas Team Dressage show in December.

Our next show is on Saturday 21st June at Stratford Hills for our Combined Training Show. The schedule for this will be out soon with entries opening on Equo.

Our events are for 18 years and over as we are a seniors only club.

Our dressage shows are catered for by Food on the Move who provide everyone with a varied menu of hot food as well as delightful sweet treats to keep our competitors fully fuelled for the day along with spectators.

Online Dressage

We offer a series of opportunities throughout the year for you to have a go at dressage in the safety of your own environment. Tests are marked by an experienced BD listed judge and the aim is to just have a go at a test to see how you and your horse are getting on. This could also be a way of trying the next level up without the pressure of a competition. Tests are arranged so that you will be having a go at the tests that will be coming up in our upcoming shows or the Area 14 competitions. Entries are done through Equo and details of how to film and upload your test are on the schedule for the current opportunity.

New for 2025 we have introduced an annual league! Points will be awarded throughout the year for entries made within the league option for online dressage. The league results will be announced at the AGM in November with a trophy presented to the winner of the league for the year.

CVRC Initiative

In light of recent scientific studies highlighting the welfare issues raised by the overtightening of nosebands, we have decided to encourage the use of correctly fitted plain cavesson nosebands. The CVRC initiative runs throughout our dressage shows to reduce the use of flash nosebands. The initiative means that you can earn two extra marks simply for not using a flash. These marks will be awarded in all classes for tests in which a correctly fitted plain cavesson noseband is used. Other dressage legal nosebands e.g. flash, drop etc, can of course still be used, but no extra mark will be given.
